About
Jina Ko

Jina Ko works in clay to explore identity and origin.
Each piece is hand-built, carrying the memory of touch, imperfection, and stillness. Born on Jeju Island, she draws from its volcanic landscapes and sea winds, creating forms that are connected and meditative.
Through stoneware and hand-building, her work reflects the imprint of memory in clay.

Korean character

Every ceramic made by Jina Ko carries her family name, 高, pressed into the surface. This character is read as “Ko,” and it has been passed down through generations of her family. By using it as her seal, Jina connects her work to her roots while also making each piece personal and unique. The mark is not only a sign of authorship but also a bridge between tradition and her own creative path, reminding us that every object holds both history and individuality.
